About Us

Located in Tel Aviv-Jaffa,  Dilber and the Simurgh  promotes and showcases the work of Dilber Civre Kamhi. During 1972-1978, Dilber worked with Professor Suheyl Unver and was introduced to  Turkish miniature and Ottoman art. Later, during 1982-1990, Dilber specialized in oil painting and design working closely with Professor Sabri Berkel. Dilber, over the years,  has displayed her work in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Boston, and lately in Acre and Tel Aviv in over 26 individual and group exhibits.

The name of our gallery Dilber (Beauty in Persian and Turkish) and Simurgh (A mythical bird in Persian Culture)-  is inspired by our artist's work that illustrates  the good and bad in our every day life in a harmonic and poetic manner.

Thanks to Jerusalem Fine Art Prints, we have reproduced her work and we are offering selected collections to the public. Now available  the special collection - The Diary of Malabi Seller - original watercolor paintings of Dilber (interpretation of her grandson Gal Rochwerger's poems) as reproductions on fine museum quality paper. Come check us out for yourself.
